NYCC推介青年改革议程
动力青年组团观察竞选

【本刊陈子莹撰述】第12届全国大选明天提名，不但朝野政党将提出各自的竞选宣言，民间组织也不约而同提出它们的诉求，要朝野政党正视。民间组织今早正式推介《人民宣言》后，全国青年咨询研讨会（NYCC）下午在吉隆坡中环车站（KL Sentral）推介《青年改革议程》（Agenda Perubahan Belia），鼓励国内青年在大选期间表达对国是的看法。

“动力青年”（Y4C）召集人李凯伦今天下午在人来人往的吉隆坡中环车站单轨火车站前，连同几位年轻人以别开生面的方式，为《青年改革议程》（Agenda Belia untuk Perubahan）举行推介礼。

《青年改革议程》乃是由全国青年咨询研讨会所倡议，内容涵盖青年对政治、经济、教育、社会文化以及环境问题的诉求。

李凯伦表示，这些议程是全国青年咨询研讨会在去年12月召开会议时所拟定。该组织认为，有必要在大选期间推介这份文件，以让更多青年了解和参与。

全国青年咨询研讨会是有五个关心国家时事的青年组织组成，成员包括动力青年、雪华青、EMPOWER、全国年轻律师委员会（NYLC）、马来西亚大专生团结阵线（Solidariti Mahasiswa Malaysia，简称SMM）。

KUALA LUMPUR: Migration is not the answer for youth frustrated at the state of political awareness.
“Don’t give up on your country. Instead, be proactive in dealing with the issues that affect you. It is up to you to become aware and make the necessary changes,” said Bar Council president Ambiga Sreenevasan.

Delivering her keynote address at the Preliminary National Youth Consultation Conference at the Bar Council auditorium yesterday, Ambiga said the best way to make a change was not with violence, but with reason.

Youths want equal access to education, end to political interference in varsities

KUALA LUMPUR: They may be young and restless, but their voices are clear and revolutionary.

About 100 young people gathered at the Preliminary National Youth Consultation Conference Sunday where they sought certain paradigms within the education and employment sectors to be unshackled.

Among others, they want equal access to education, freedom from political interference in the universities and to help workers know their rights.

The group, made up mostly of undergraduates and post-graduate students, also sought to have a youth parliament set up and a layman’s guide to the Federal Constitution.

“We want a free and fair education, and equal access to tertiary education for all.

“We also call for the abolishment of the UUCA (Universities and University Colleges Act). We need academic freedom,” said post-graduate student Ng Eng Kiat, 23, in his presentation at the conference on the topic of education held at the Bar Council auditorium here.

“There should also be fair allocation for all schools, in funds and manpower. It’s common to find good teachers in urban schools, but what about in the rural areas?” he asked.

安美嘉：改變年輕人想法
不可視貪污濫權為習慣

（吉隆坡訊）大馬律師公會主席安美嘉今日（週日，12月2日）表示，目前最令人擔心的是國人將漸漸習慣貪污、濫權、不公等不當行為，並將之視為生活的一部份。

安美嘉強調，人們必須向濫權、貪污等問題說不，而這種行為與思維上的改變必須從年輕人開始，年輕人需對國家及社會領袖、同事、朋友等有所要求，懂得說：“對不起，我不能接受這些不公行為。”

她為主題為“團結一致為改變：年輕人的機會與挑戰”討論會主持開幕時這麼表示。此研討會是由動力青年、青年律師委員會、隆雪華堂青年團、Pusat Janadaya （EMPOWER）及大馬大專生團結陣線聯辦。

“年輕人必須對參與投票的責任有所醒覺，參與投票、瞭解憲法的關鍵和基本權利，因為逃避不是解決方法。

安碧嘉：對政治冷感
青年不滿局勢

（吉隆坡2日訊）律師公會主席安碧嘉指出，國內青年對政治冷感，如果他們對現今局勢感到不滿，只會一味通過移民逃避。

她說，移民絕不是一個解決辦法，年青人應該留下改變現狀，而非逃避。

她重申，律師公會最近舉行的公正之行，並非反政府，而是要政府認真看待我國司法獨立及憲法的地位。

“選民年齡應降至18歲”
青年律師委會盼修改條例

（吉隆坡訊）青年律師委員會署理主席迪班德拉認為，選民的標準年齡應下降至18歲，以讓更多年輕人有機會參與決定國家前途的選舉活動。

他說，既然18歲的年輕人能考駕駛執照、結婚等責任重大的事，沒有理由不能投票。

“我不明白為何要等到21歲才能投票，是因為擔心他們不成熟？難道結婚、駕車不是會引發更嚴重後果、需要更大責任感的事？為甚麼18歲可以結婚、駕車卻不能投票？”

律師公會：提倡人權公正自由　修憲關注基本權益

（吉隆坡2日訊）隨著近來眾多司法課題成為社會關注點，然而律師公會主席安美嘉指出，在談及維護或修改憲法時，人們必須關注和提倡最基本的權益，例如人權、公正和自由。

她說，許多人對美國第1次或几次修憲都能耳熟能詳，但為何我國不能實行自己的修憲？

美國落實憲法后，在第1次憲法修正案加入國會不得制定關于下列事項的法律：確立國教或禁止信教自由；剝奪言論自由或出版自由；或剝奪人民和平集會和向政府請願伸冤的權利。

她強調：「我們不需要針對憲法每一條進行辯論，我們應對最基本的權利加以關注。」
